Hazbin Hotel's Creator Is Aware of Your Season 2 Predictions — With Some Positive Updates

The highly-awaited second season of the musical adult cartoon Hazbin Hotel launches on the streaming platform this week, and audience theories has been widespread.

Season 1 introduces a diverse group of characters residing in the afterlife, sets them at odds accompanied by musical numbers about their clashes, and builds heated competitions and angsty, affectionate connections that fuel fan obsession.

The fandom's stated hopes for the new season vary widely, but certain themes emerge over and over: Could a fan-favorite character escape his tormentor? Might we learn more about the binding agreement constraining the enigmatic Alastor? Will [favorite character] and [other character] finally get together?

"Obviously, I don't produce the show with fan service specifically in mind," the creator stated earlier this year. "However I believe that me being a fan of my own show implies there's a lot of it just inherently. I also want to see these things, and I want some of these things to happen, and obviously some of these things are meant to happen in the show!"

She says her long-term vision is for five seasons of Hazbin Hotel. Seasons 3 and 4 have already been green-lit by the production companies, which produce the series.

That might mean fans have to wait years for some of the major resolutions — but they may be surprised at how quickly the new season moves, and how much of what they're anticipating happens this season.

"I believe people are going to be highly satisfied," she adds. "There are several debut moments. I think we receive some really amazing disclosures, some really cool backstories, and even just simple things, [like] I hope this character gets a song. […] We're going to hear much more singing from the previously silent cast members."

The creator is well-informed of the guesses and hopes about the upcoming season — especially in the format of fan bingo cards.

"I've come across a few fans make a bingo card about season 2," she says. "Naturally I can't post it, but I've already completed a few items, and nearly every one of them have almost a bingo. I thought, Oh, if you put this [event] in this spot, it would be a bingo. So that leads me to believe we accomplish much [of what fans are waiting for in this season], because I realized, Oh, there's multiple potential bingos on this card. So that brings me joy."

Hazbin Hotel the second season launches on the streaming service on October 29.
