Two more people have been arrested related to a robbery at Heathrow Airport where over twenty individuals were injured by what is thought to be pepper spray, according to police.
A man, 24, was arrested in Lambeth on suspicion of robbery and assault and a 23-year-old woman was detained on suspicion of conspiring to commit a robbery. They both are still being held, authorities confirmed.
These detentions follow an investigation into an assault at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Prior to the incident, a pair of female travelers were robbed of their luggage after getting out of a car park lift.
A toddler aged three was one of the those hurt during the incident. Five people were taken to the hospital for treatment and have since been discharged.
Police detained a 31-year-old man for suspected robbery and assault close to the scene. He has since been released pending further inquiries as the investigation proceeds.
Police were alerted at approximately 08:10 GMT after reports came in regarding a number of people hurt by a noxious substance thought to be pepper spray.
The attack - which authorities stated was a standalone incident and not considered terrorism - resulted in train delays and the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a short time.
